Edgar W. Reece, Founder

Edgar W. Reece is a former member of the management team for Wells Fargo Bank and founder of ReeceCorp. He has been an entrepreneur since 1982 with the start of his first venture selling lemons to neighbors. Sharing his vast entrepreneurial expertise and passion with others, Edgar has been key speaker at meetings and conferences for the American Cancer Society, Claremont Coordinating Council, Claremont Chamber of Commerce, and Western University of Health Sciences. He has also been guest speaker at the semi-annual conference of the Municipal Information Systems Association of California (MISAC). At this event, Mr. Reece followed an introduction that presented him as having an “innate passion for business…a passion for being involved and a heart for reaching out.”

Mr. Reece believes in being a contributing member of the local and greater community. As such, Edgar has served on the Board of Directors for the American Cancer Society, California Division and Claremont Chamber of Commerce. In addition he has served as an Advisory Board member for RGR Publishing Group; Genesis Investments Co.; Key Club International, Claremont; and American Cancer Society, Los Angeles Region. He also served as the Technology and Operations Chairman for seven years for the City of Claremont Independence Day Celebration and founded the Edgar W. Reece Foundation.

Currently, Mr. Reece serves on the Board of Directors for ReeceCorp, ISN Global Enterprises, Inc., Reece Capital Ventures, LLC, PayPro Financial, LLC and on the Advisory Board of the American Cancer Society, East San Gabriel Valley Unit. He continues to volunteer as a statewide leader for the American Cancer Society, California Division, and is a Legislative Ambassador for the ACS Cancer Action Network. Edgar is also proud to be a member of Kiwanis International, Claremont and Westwood College Program Advisory Committee.

When Mr. Reece has time for himself he enjoys spending it with his dog Brutus, going to the movies, traveling the world, eating at fine dining restaurants, and being entertained by live theatre productions.

Tracy Haraksin, Executive Director

Tracy Haraksin enjoys serving in her role as Executive Director at Philanthropy International, Edgar W. Reece Foundation's affiliated management agency, in which she oversees the development of new business and overall corporate direction for this nonprofit organization. Tracy brings to Philanthropy International over 25 years of experience, working in the non-profit sector. This experience has prepared her for this key role interfacing with the charities that Philanthropy International serves. Tracy focuses on identifying prospective charities that are ready to implement or enhance a planned giving program. She is also instrumental in creating and implementing marketing strategies and promotional pieces for Philanthropy International’s partner charities.

For the past 10 years Tracy has managed her own business assisting ministries and other organizations in determining and realizing their marketing and fundraising goals. Working with such esteemed organizations such as The Los Angeles Mission, Fuller Theological Seminary, Lake Avenue Church, Volunteers of America Bay Area, and Upland Christian Schools, Tracy has seen marketing efforts and results increase. Prior to starting her own business, Tracy worked as Director of Marketing at Azusa Pacific University and also at Christian Management Association. While with these organizations, Tracy was involved in establishing entirely new corporate identities, resulting in drastically increased incomes.

Tracy has extensive experience speaking on a variety of marketing and fundraising topics for such organizations as Evangelical Development Ministry, Direct Marketing Association and Christian Management Association.

In her personal life, Tracy enjoys keeping busy as a vocalist and has traveled extensively singing and sharing her life with those less fortunate. Tracy lives in Upland, California with her husband George and their two sons.


Duke Draeger, Director of Operations

Before joining Philanthropy International, Edgar W. Reece Foundation's affiliated management agency, Mr. Draeger directed the operations of a local non-profit organization for seven years. His responsibilities included all aspects of human resources, finances; including setting and maintaining the budget, as well as giving oversight to various department heads within the organization. His careers before that included working as a loan broker for residential real estate for three years, a junior-high public school teacher for seven years, and as a math instructor at Orange Coast College – College for kids.

Mr. Draeger has always been active in community and social causes. He participated with his local Chamber of Commerce in service projects for the elderly. Duke directed a volunteer program that arranged for orphans to visit with local families on weekends and holidays. He and his wife, Peggy, were foster parents for six years culminating their experience with the adoption of two of their foster children. Duke has also volunteered his time mentoring support group leaders and counseling men and women testing for the HIV virus. His community service endeavors were recognized in 1985 with him receiving the Outstanding Young Men of America Award.

Currently Mr. Draeger is a board member of Family Legacy, the Elder Board for New Song Church and a trustee for Philanthropy International.

In 1992, Mr. Draeger and a small team created and implemented a six-session marriage preparation class for couples. Over 500 couples have completed the class during its 15 years. Part of his passion and ongoing volunteerism involves mentoring engaged and young married couples with his wife Peggy.

Mr. Draeger received his Master’s degree in Counseling in 1991, with a special emphasis in abuse and his Bachelor’s in Diversified Education in 1985, with a minor in psychology both from the University of La Verne. He received his Real Estate License in 1989 and his Life, Health and Disability Insurance License in 1999.

Duke and his wife Peggy, a special education teacher, live in Claremont with their four children. The Draeger family members enjoy tennis, basketball, soccer, horseback riding and volley ball.
